Owned & Directed by a Licensed Occupational Therapist

Home care built on a real understanding of your family's daily life, not just good intentions.

SafeHarbor In-Home Care is a Georgia-licensed Personal Care Home Provider led by an OT — someone trained to sit with a family or an individual, walk through their home, and figure out exactly what daily support looks like for their situation. That same expertise in analyzing functional needs, wherever it's applied, is now put to work keeping your loved one safely and independently at home.

Why SafeHarbor

Most home care agencies are run by business operators. Yours is run by someone trained to assess how families and individuals actually function day to day.

SafeHarbor was founded by a licensed Occupational Therapist who has spent her career figuring out how people manage daily life at home and in their communities — evaluating how illness, injury, aging, or disability affect a person's ability to manage daily tasks — and translating that clinical understanding into care plans built around each person's actual functional needs. That's the thinking behind every care plan we build.

A Trained Eye for Daily Needs

Our founder's OT background means care starts with a real look at the home and the routine — fall risks, mobility barriers, and day-to-day challenges most agencies don't know to look for.

Individualized, Not Templated

Every client gets a written Individualized Service Plan built around their specific abilities and goals — not a generic package applied to everyone on our roster.

Built to State Standard

Licensed and operated under Georgia's Personal Care Home Provider rule (111-8-65), with the documentation, supervision, and training requirements it demands.

How It Works

An Individualized Service Plan, built the way someone trained in daily-living needs builds one.

  • In-Home Assessment

We start in the client's own home — evaluating daily routines, mobility, safety risks, and support needs firsthand.

  • Individualized Service Plan

A written, individualized plan is developed for the client, setting out the specific care and support to be provided.

  • Matched, Trained Caregiver

We match the client with a background-checked caregiver trained to that specific plan — not a generic checklist.

  • Ongoing Supervision

Care is reviewed on a regular supervisory schedule, so the plan keeps pace with the client's changing needs.

Entryway

Daily Life Activities

Realistic, functional abilities — along with the client's values and culture — are treated as an integral part of the plan.

Kitchen

Daily routine observed to understand realistic support needs, not assumed ones.

Bedroom

Nighttime mobility and fall risk considered as part of the overall plan.
